TREEIB is the abbreviation for - Tree Irrigation Bag

TREEIB® is a set of tools (a method and watering bags) for the noninvasive watering of established trees on a large scale. We are Martin Tuser and Zaneta Tuserova, inventors of TREEIB and owners of a family business LEDASCO, distributing Treegator® watering bags for newly planted trees in Europe. We were searching for a watering solution for established trees because our trees were stressed by drought in 2016-21. We hadn't found any, so we developed one.

TREEIB, a patent-pending method of watering and watering bags in volumes of 396 and 114 gallons, newly made also of up-cycled material, providing deep watering with setup and filling in minutes.

TREEIB is a set of tools for non invasive watering established trees in a large scale. Its main use is in human settlements, so ideal for landscapers use in both private and commercial sectors.

The set of tools means that TREEIB consists of a method, how to water and a physical product, big watering bags, which enables watering big trees at all.

The TREEIB method is a special set of steps, how to water established trees. It is completely different from watering newly planted trees. The TREEIB method summary, for climate zones from Mediterranean to Subarctic:

  • Watering trees in the right time, it is whenever the substrate temperature is above 6°C/42°F, an adequate amount of water must be accessible to the tree, with possible irregularity to prevent die off the feeder roots.
  • Watering trees in the right place, which is on and beyond the canopy dripline.
  • Watering trees with the right frequency, which is 4-5 times per year.
  • Watering trees with the right amount of water, which is a dose to replace evapotranspiration volume for a minimum of 10 days. The dose varies from 800-9,000 liters/211-2,400 US gal.

The method backed by science and proofed by 5 years of testing means watering at the right place, with the right amount of water and in the right time Results are fantastic. Watering (no fertilizer) of a 26 y. o. spruce 4 times per year, with a dose of 1,200 gallons has brought regrowth of needles, diameter at breast height (DBH) gain of 1.2 inch and shoots growth more than 1 foot per year. The tree also sequestered 5 times more carbon compared to a control.
